5/5 Beignet with praline and pecan Surprisingly, the best beignet we had in New Orleans was nowhere near the French Quarters, but about an hour north at Beignet Au Lait. The Beignet is not overly big and is filled with a mix or larger and smaller pieces. Each piece is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the syrup is not overly sweet but still offers a distinct taste compared to a classic powdered sugar beignet. My partner and I shared an order and found that it was the perfect size to scratch our itch.

I was so very excited to try my first beignet !!!! Easily placed an order over the phone and added on a breakfast sandwich too, since it was going to be a long day! I tried the Cafe au Lait, but it wasn't very strong. The flavor was not overly sweet either, it was good tasting, it's just me, I prefer a stronger coffee. The beignet's were the hit! I personally loved the like crispy edges! I think it could have used a TON more toppings, powdered sugar too. They were hot and flavorful, not too thick with crust and not too thin.... They were jusssssst right, like the three bears! The owner was a beautiful lady, but she was shy for a picture. It's a cute cafe, I totally recommend stopping in! Plus there's a lot of shopping next door and a restaurant too!

JACKPOT! Wonderful coffee. Perfectly made beignets- I recommend the pecan & praline glaze. Their croissant sandwich is also delicious. The owner is so sweet. My waitress was quick & attentive. There's a reason the ratings are so good!

We had a little time to kill while on a visit to LA and decided to stop in here for beignets and cafe au lait. Everything was so delicious and the lady working was the absolute sweetest. It's a very cute little shop and worth a visit!

What an absolute treat! We absolutely love the beignets here and you're doing yourself a disservice by not getting a bunch to try. The mini beignets are so unique and offer more crunch per surface area, but you also can't go wrong with the full sized beignets for a proper experience. So far we have tried wedding cake, lemon, and blackberry and they were all amazing! Not too sweet either. The Cafe au lait is mighty tasty too! The owner and server are incredibly warm and sweet people as well. Instead of waiting in line for Cafe Du Monde, make the trip out here and have some seriously amazing and life changing beignets! (No joke it will take you less time to make the drive out here, order, eat, and drive back than waiting in line at CduM!!!)

I am so impressed by this business! My family and I were out of town, visiting family, and were craving some beignets since they aren't too common in our area. We misread the closing time of this business, but the owner, Ionna, saw us outside and offered to reopen for us! She was very kind and the beignets were to die for! We ordered 18 and ate all of them! Amazing hospitality and food - definitely worth stopping by if you get the chance!

Omg the real life princess Tiana and her man catching beignets!!!! Always fresh and made to order . Love it here . My daughter came home from college and said this is princess Tiana so that's what we went with lol .

These beignets were PHENOMENAL--light, fluffy, and fresh!!! My group and I walked in 30 minutes before closing and were swiftly greeted and served. I also ordered a cafe au lait with vanilla, which was not too sweet and paired perfectly with the powdered sugar beignets. Though I didn't order any savory food, this is a humble homestyle restaurant that also has breakfast foods. I will be sure to make a stop here the next time I'm in New Orleans!

We were passing though the area headed to Houston, so we wanted something authentic and tried this place and so glad we did! My husband started with the pralines and cream coffee and he said it was the best coffee he's ever had. He practically licked the cup clean. We ordered a breakfast to split so we didn't order more than we could eat since we are on the road. The sausage was the best breakfast sausage I've ever had! It was juicy and delicious! Everything was good perfectly and tasted great. The meal came with 2 mini beignets (we were given 3) and you could choose any glaze on top or powdered. We chose praline and they even put fresh pecans on top. They were absolutely delightful! We will definitely stop back on our way back home.
